In industry, time is a key success factor. Production, delivery, and storage are areas with potential for time savings. Production time can be divided into machining and idle time. To reduce machining times, production methods and components that allow faster processing or assembly can be used. Idle times are typically times when the machine is at a standstill due to necessary changeovers. These times can be reduced by setting up the machine in parallel to the processing time. The workpiece is prepared outside the machine and inserted together with the clamping device into the machine. This increases output, reduces costs, and eliminates operating errors during the clamping process. The SCHUNK product line includes components for utilizing operating time more effectively as well as clamping devices for reducing set-up times and thus cutting costs significantly.
